02.28.22 | Industry coalition comments to CARB in support of the immediate adoption of the proposed modifications listed below in March 2022 instead of January 1, 2023:
- Expand the model year eligibility proposal. Adopting this action today will allow 2016 engine model year trucks to be eligible now under the program.
- Include a manufacturer’s delay extension. Allowing fleet owners to continue operating their diesel trucks today while awaiting delivery of their awarded near-zero or zero-emission truck will help prevent the purchase of a diesel replacement once the Truck and Bus Rule becomes effective January 1, 2023.
