The EPA has given Westport approval to equip 2017 model year Ford trucks with its WiNG Power System, which enables the trucks to run on CNG or liquid propane gas (LPG). Trucks included in the certification are the Ford F-150 5-liter CNG and LPG; the Transit 3.7-liter CNG; the F-450, F-550, F-650, F-750 and F-59 6.8-liter CNG; and the E-450 6.8-liter CNG models. Also, Westport is now certified under Ford’s Qualified Vehicle Modifier program, so the trucks will retain their factory warranties after the modification.
